WHO AM I AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?


I'm Sam, the owner of Sam Conley Fitness and the founder of HQ Fitness Academy. 

Until the age of 37, I was the last person you'd turn to for fitness or nutrition advice. 

I was overweight all my life, bullied at school, lacked self-confidence, and was disgusted with what I had become.

I was 21 stone with a 42-44 inch waist, horrendous "man boobs" and legs so fat that they destroyed every pair of trousers I bought. 

I couldn't bear to look in the mirror, have my photograph taken, or even take my daughter swimming. I tried every diet, gimmick, shake, and pill known to man. I would starve and binge.

My knees were in pieces the weight I carried and my IBS was horrendous due to my diet. 

What changed?

I had a trigger moment one Saturday when I went to suit and finally had to accept what I saw in the I had to take ownership of the state that I was in, spent the weekend crying if I'm honest. 

I took back control of my life that day.

I went on to lose 7.5 stone! I was hooked.

I needed to know more about food so I studied in my spare time.

I invested in myself and studied personally with some of the world's leading experts gaining my qualifications in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Metabolism, and Behaviour change.

In 2015, I won both Mr. Body Transformation Ireland and Europe in my very first season.

Never, was this on my radar, BUT who can tell where our lives can take us?
